Vastint (formerly LandProp) division Inter Ikea Group is currently building a new neighbourhood in East London: Strand East. The combination of CRUX Engineering BV and Van Rossum Consulting Engineers advises Vastint among others on the replacement of the 1050m quay wall around the project area in terms of structures, geotechnics, monitoring and risks.

Future Strand East is an area comprising 10 hectares on the High Street opposite the Olympic Park. The existing buildings are being demolished and the soil is remediated. Vastint develops the area in stages. A large part concerns buildings, such as offices, homes, restaurants and shops. A smaller area of 12,000 m² concerns historic buildings in the so-called Northeast Quarter. Partly due to the 2012 Olympics, this part of London is emerging.
